Myrtle Beach, SC (June 15, 2009) – Gordon Biersch Brewery & Restaurant will host a Sommerbrau tapping party in appreciation of our local firefighters’ efforts during the recent wildfires.
 
Sponsored by Full Steam Ahead and South Atlantic Bank, the event’s proceeds will go to the firefighters’ charity of choice, the South Carolina Burned Children’s Fund.
 
Planned for Tuesday, June 23, 2009 beginning at 5:30pm, the event will include complimentary beer and picnic buffet for Passport members or with suggested donations. The Potato Heads band will perform from 6:30pm to 9:30pm. Four-person relay races and a watermelon-eating contest will begin at 7:30pm. All contest proceeds will go to the charity.
