South Atlantic Bank Announces Second Branch Location
 
Myrtle Beach, SC (May 14, 2008) – South Atlantic Bank has announced it’s newest and
second branch set to operate out of Murrells Inlet, SC.
 
South Atlantic Bank received approval for its newest location from the FDIC and the
South Carolina Board of Financial Institutions on May 13, 2008.  
 
“We are very excited about our expansion plans into the Murrells Inlet area, which is
needed to serve our growing customer base and many of our investors,” states President,
Scott Plyler. “Our management team has many years of banking experience and customer
relationships in this area, which will be further developed with the opening of this new
branch.”
 
While a new branch office is being built, a full-service modular branch will be on site by
September 2008. The new building is planned to be a 10,000 square foot, two-story
facility with the bank occupying the first floor and leasing space for a tenant on the
second floor.  
 
ESD Architecture and Design out of Charlotte, NC is said to be the architect and interior
designer for the new bank location.
 
The Murrells Inlet branch will offer full banking services including retail, commercial
and mortgage lending, night depository services, and ATM.
