South Atlantic Bank’s Day to Celebrate
Myrtle Beach, SC (February 3, 2010) – South Atlantic Bank had a full day of dignitaries and shareholders on Thursday, January 28th, 2010.
At 2:00pm, Wayne Wicker, CEO of South Atlantic Bank spoke of the long anticipated opening of their newest building on the corner of 29th Avenue North and Robert M. Grissom Parkway. In attendance were several dignitaries, media representatives, school officials and leaders among the Grand Strand community. Afterwards, attendees enjoyed refreshments and were given a tour of the building.
As part of the day’s festivities, executives at South Atlantic Bank unveiled a plaque dedicating their boardroom to Tracy G. Durant and the late Robert R. Durant III. “If it wasn’t for Robert’s initial push to start the bank it is possible we may not be here today, and Tracy’s dedication to the board has been unprecedented,” states Wicker.
Closing out the day, South Atlantic Bank held an after hours tour for their shareholders. “The gathering gave shareholders the opportunity to see the building as well as to meet all the people behind the South Atlantic Bank name,” says Scott Plyler, President of South Atlantic Bank. “We are proud of our new home and believe that we have, and will, make a big impact on the community here along the Grand Strand.”
The new, 16,000 square foot location will be the focal point for all of South Atlantic Bank’s operations as well as the headquarters that will link current and future branches together.
