South Atlantic Bank to Hold Official Ribbon Cutting Ceremony
Myrtle Beach, SC (January 15, 2010) – South Atlantic Bank announces it’s official ribbon cutting ceremony for the bank’s new headquarters in Myrtle Beach.
Planned for Thursday, January 28, 2010 at 2:00pm, the ceremony will mark the celebration of the bank’s newest building on the corner of 29th Avenue North and Robert M. Grissom Parkway. Bank officials expect local dignitaries and chamber of commerce leaders to attend the ceremony.
On November 28th, 2007, South Atlantic Bank opened a temporary office at 2050 Corporate Centre in Myrtle Beach and used this facility while searching for a location for their permanent home. After many months, they were able to acquire a 3 acre lot on 29th Avenue North. To secure this property, bank leaders worked closely with officials from Horry County, Santee Cooper, the Horry County School Systems and The City of Myrtle Beach. Site work began the week of December 30th.
“We’re extremely excited about moving into our new headquarters,” states Wayne Wicker, Chief Executive Officer of South Atlantic Bank. “Our foremost objective is to meet the needs of our customers, and this gives us the space to meet those objectives.”
The new, 16,000 square foot location will be the focal point for all of South Atlantic Bank’s operations as well as the headquarters that will link current and future branches together.
